Christian Education
Creative Bible Study – Rev. Gina Jacobs-Strain & Elaine Cody
Leading Interactive Bible Studies (L.I.B.S. ™) is a 2-hour workshop designed to enhance your Bible teaching tool kit, so that all participants in your Bible Study Classes will be inspired to persist in study and personal application of the Word of God. In the first session, we will introduce the components of the L.I.B.S. ™ template. In the second session, guided by the Holy Spirit, participants will utilize the L.I.B.S.™ template to prepare, present, and create a Bible Study during the workshop. Each participant will share highlights of the Bible Study and receive feedback from classmates and workshop leaders.
Reading the Bible With Young Leaders – Maria Isabel Gomez
In an age where technology has afford us the opportunity to have all the information we might want at the tip of our fingers, we might find it hard to reach-out to our youth, but in reality things have not changed that much. The young-adults, or emerging adults as some psychologists refer to this age group of 18–25 year olds, are in constant search for their identity and feel compelled to try new things and experiences. This is where we, as teachers and mentors, must focus our efforts. We should strive to be part of those experiences, helping to reveal what God is teaching young leaders in their joureys.
Institutional Administration
Integrity as a Church – Claude White, Esq.
This workshop will provide an overview of the responsibilities of trustees in the Baptist Church as codified by New Jersey law. Additionally, the workshop will focus on fiduciary responsibilities relative to, among other areas, insurance, governance, taxes and employment relations. Finally, the workshop will provide guidance about resources trustees may use to ensure they fulfill their roles.

Pastor’s Track – Millennials and the Church: How Do We Get Millennials to Try God With Us?
Dr. Brianna Parker has wrestled with the generational divide experienced in many churches. Her work has led her to conclude,
To get millennials to come back to church, welcome them into a relationship that allows mutual and reciprocal growth. Make space for questions that may be uncomfortable and seem “inappropriate.” This may require that clergy and church leaders be well-trained (theologically and culturally).
Come and spend time with Dr. Parker and begin to wrestle with the millennial reality.
